Dr. May Graduated from University of California, San Diego in 1978 Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Art in Biology. In 1984 he received Medical Doctorate (M.D.) at University of California, Davis (Morton Levitt Research Scholar).

In 1985 he completed flexible internship in Ophthalmology at The Los Angeles County- University of Southern California Medical Center. In 1988 he completed his Ophthalmology Residency at The Los Angeles County – University of Southern California Medical Center and The Doheny Eye Institute.

Dr. May began his private practice in Whittier California 1988, continuing to present day.

In 1988 he joined volunteer faculty at U.S.C. –Doheny Eye Institute. Dr. May co founded U.S.C. Laser Center in 1996 (providing LASIK training and treatment) and served as president until 2001.

In 2007 he started the May Vision Foundation a charitable effort to prevent blindness through research, education and screening programs for children.

In 2008 he published a book explaining common eye disorders titled "See". You can read it online or buy a hard copy under the book tab.

Dr. May is currently a Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at U.S.C.- Doheny.

Phillip Phuc Van Le, M.D., Ph.D. attended school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge MA with a 4.9/5.0 GPA and received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Engineering, EECS in 1996. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA where he received a Ph.D in Cell and Molecular Biology - Genetics in 2005 and his M.D. in 2007.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Michael Kapamajian, M.D. received his undergraduate degree in Physiological Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating summa cum laude in 2001. He then attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he earned his medical degree in 2005. Following this, he completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and went on to complete his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2009.

Dr. Kapamajian returned to Los Angeles and completed his first fellowship in uveitis, under the mentorship of Gary Holland, MD at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2011, he went on to serve as Assistant Chief of Service at the Doheny Eye Institute, where he was in charge of the day to day activities of the ophthalmology clinic at Los Angeles County Hospital, as well as the clinical and surgical training of USC ophthalmology residents. He returned to the Jules Stein Eye Institute for a final year of fellowship training in glaucoma, under the mentorship of Joseph Caprioli, MD, from 2011 to 2012.

In addition to caring for his patients in private practice, Dr. Kapamajian spends half of each week as Chief of the glaucoma and uveitis clinics and Co-Chief of the Ophthalmology Division at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (HUMC). Through his appointment, Dr. Kapamajian remains heavily involved in the clinical and surgical training of UCLA ophthalmology residents and fellows, participates in clinical studies, and is in charge of the ophthalmology resident education program at HUMC. His interests outside of medicine include astronomy, physics, fitness, soccer, football, bowling, off-road activities, and water sports.
